I can't tell you how excited and pleased that I was selected as a finalist for the 2009 Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase, to be held on July 11th at the fabulous Snowbird Resort in the mountains above Salt Lake City, UT as part of the 1st annual Snowbird Mountain Musical Festival (formerly the Founders Title Folk and Bluegrass Festival). This national contest highlights some of the best performing songwriters from around the country. The 15th Annual Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase brings ten of the best performing songwriters from around the country up to Snowbird to strut their stuff. This showcase is widefly regarded as one of the best singer-songwriter showcase competitions in North America, as is evidence by the roster of previous winners, which includes TR Ritchie (the 2008 winner/Festival opener this year), Kort McCumber, Neil Bradley Owen, Jenn Adams, Amy Speace and Carla Eskelsen.
